Dachshund , Male , 5 years 1 month old
Frank's owner passed away suddenly, which was a huge loss for him to cope with. Frank is understandably very upset and confused about what's going on, but he has made friends with some staff members and is slowly starting to trust us, which is lovely to see. He loves a walk and loves to play off lead. He will be looking for a home with an experienced dog owner who has the time to help him feel safe. Frank likes most other dogs and feels secure when he is around other dogs, but will guard his food. Please be aware Frank looks cute but if he feels unsafe or scared he will bite, so a home with no children is required.
The Animal Behaviour section listed here is a guide only and is formed by staff observations within the time the animal has been present. It is not definitive and therefore prospective owners should monitor behaviour of the animal in their own environment and form judgements of suitability.
