Stan

Springer Spaniel Crossbreed , Male , 16 years old

About  Stan...

Stan has been with us for a few years and is a very difficult dog. Due to a lack of training and socialisation in his youth he reacts very badly towards other dogs, cats, cars and strangers when on a lead. He does however love to play with other dogs off lead and is wonderful with the staff. Stan is very difficult to walk on lead and we feel he would be better in a home where long walks are not essential and instead a large enclosed safe garden for him to enjoy would be less stressful. Stan can take a while to get to know you but once he gets a bond he is very loveable. Stan’s new owners would need to be able to understand his issues and be able to keep him safely away from strangers and visitors until he feels more relaxed. Due to Stan being unpredictable he is not suitable to live with children under the age of 16 years. Please note Stan has bitten in the past and when on lead and stressed he can be very difficult to control. Stan was rehomed a few months ago but was unable to stay due to car and shadow chasing and also being very difficult to house train.
